We believe that as artists, we need to share our gifts with the communities that surround us. Our studio holds the unique dual goal of facilitating the growth of both strong dancers and community leaders. Each year, our dancers host annual events that bring together like-minded individuals to collaborate in celebration of the arts.
Each year, around the time of Valentine’s Day, our companies perform at a number of retirement homes within both the Chicago and Northshore communities. Following the performance, students hand out Valentine’s Day cards that they made for each individual at the homes.
The DMA annually hosts a performance that brings together dancers and community elders to raise money for Misericordia, a local home to those with physical and developmental disabilities.
Each year, performance company members host a fashion show that raises money for a local charity. We partner with a local designer to give the dancers more opportunities to learn another aspect of the Commercial Entertainment Industry
The Honor Project is a collaboration the Trifecta Dance Collective and Operation Support Our Troops. The goal of the event is to support the well-being of American forces by providing comfort, resources and education to them and their families both while they are deployed in harm’s way and after their return. The Event consists of a history presentation about the Glen, performance by Dance and Music Academy Youth, and a donation acceptance in place of ticket sales for performance.
